PURCHASE A CUSTOM PIECE

As each piece is custom and natural materials are often used, the cost of your custom piece can vary. The following is an approximate price list of some of my most common offerings. Requests for custom pieces not described on the price list are welcome, and the cost will be provided to you prior to starting your project. Prices are listed in Canadian dollars.

  • Each base price includes one subject, hand painted with acrylic paint, and sealed in resin.  The background can be natural or a single colour.
  • The sizes shown are measured at the stone’s widest point.  You will be able to view photos of available stones with their measurements prior to selecting one for your piece.  You also have the option of viewing stones in-person if you live local to the artist.
  • Additional details or backgrounds can be requested and a custom price will be determined upon request.
  • Shipping is available in North America for an added fee. Flat rate shipping is available through Canada Post for Canadian residents. The price of your piece plus shipping will be provided to you upfront. Local pick up in Winnipeg, Manitoba has no additional fees.

WHAT TO KNOW WHEN BOOKING A CUSTOM PORTRAIT

When selecting a photo of a subject to have painted, please ensure that the photo is of a high quality, with good lighting and clear details. The quality of your photo will directly impact the quality of your painting. It is not necessary to send multiple photos, it is easiest if you can select one to three high-quality photos to send for consideration. Of course, if you are struggling to decide on a photo, assistance will be provided with your selection. Photographs of photos are low quality and should be avoided when possible. Carly Sanders Art understands, however, that high-quality or digital options are not always available, and will strive to work with you no matter the quality of your photo.

Often, some will request that details are merged from multiple photos. This is possible (and in fact, encouraged!) when multiple subjects are being added to the same painting. This is particularly meaningful when painting loved ones who have passed, and perhaps have not met each other. This request becomes more challenging when changes to features on the same subject are requested. For example, if two photos of the same subject are supplied, with a request for the eyes from one photo, and the smile from another. These requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. The artist reserves the right to determine if the request can be fulfilled satisfactorily and will decline those requests that are not possible to fulfill.

Progress photos will be forwarded throughout the painting process so that you can see how your piece is coming together. Feedback can be provided at any stage, and is welcomed to ensure you are satisfied with your piece. Upon the final completion of the artwork, up to two requests for adjustments can be made. Additional adjustment requests may result in added costs.
